This is my into the forest, himalaya scarf, celebrating our amazingly diverse and beautiful majestic world forests. There are so many characters in this detailed piece that it can be worn with 4 completely differently designed edges to make this one versatile scarf. Wildlife and the natural world is my passion and I had great fun crafting this design. The colours in this piece are rich and vibrant with a prussian blue edge and the centre full of evergreen greenery.
These scarves start life as an A2 drawing which is then inked with a technical pen, this process can take a couple of weeks because I'm so fussy! I then bring all my colours into play with photoshop software to get those bold flat colours, my designs are then printed on Crepe de Chine fabric which is a versatile, elegant and lightweight fabric with a beautiful drape and delicate crepe texture. My scarves are hemmed by myself and the corners handstitched for extra special care.
The scarf is a generous size square at 95x95cm but I find this allows so many options in how it can be worn. As much care as possible is taken to make sure your scarf arrives without creases but if transport does incur any these can be ironed out on a warm setting with no steam and the scarf washes beautifully. All scarves come with fabric instructions.
Please allow 6-10 working days before delivery as each scarf is handmade to order. All fabrics are made in Britain.
